Rochelle Township High School Updates Bilingual and Dual Language Programs

ROCHELLE — Rochelle Township High School District officials gave an update Tuesday night on bilingual and dual language programming, noting that 49 percent of students identify as Hispanic and 24 percent are classified as English Learners. The district now employs four full time ESL teachers and four bilingual certified content teachers and offers both English as a Second Language instruction and a dual language program that allows students to work toward the Seal of Biliteracy, while also expanding family involvement through a Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee and ongoing staff training to support student success.
