Rockford Mayor Confirms Immigration Enforcement In City

ROCKFORD –  Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara is confirming that federal immigration enforcement agents conducted a “targeted” operation in the city.  McNamara says the operation took place yesterday on the city’s west side, around West State and Avon Street.  His office says one person was taken into custody.  McNamara said he will do all he can to keep everyone informed during these chaotic times.
