U of I System Raising Tuition

CHAMPAIGN – Tuition is going up for incoming freshmen at University of Illinois System universities.  The Board of Trustees approved a two-percent tuition increase for Illinois resident undergraduate students admitted to the fall 2026 academic year.  The system universities in Urbana-Champaign, Chicago and Springfield also adjusted tuition rates for nonresident undergraduate students, as well as graduate, professional and online programs.  U of I System President Tim Killeen says the increase will allow them to balance the rising costs they face due to inflation.
