DeKalb Approves $94,520 for Water Meters and Transmitters

DEKALB — The City of DeKalb has approved an increase to $94,520 for the purchase of water meters and radio transmitters from Badger Meter Inc. The funding will cover routine replacements, meters for new home construction, larger meters for high-capacity projects including the Park District Pool, and replacements required by the IEPA Lead Service Line Program. Costs for developer-related meters will be reimbursed, ensuring no net impact on the city’s Water Fund. The measure was approved last week.
