DIXON — Sinnissippi Centers will offer up to four 1,000 dollar college scholarships in 2026 for students pursuing careers in the human services field. The opportunity is open to graduating northwest Illinois high school seniors in Bureau, Carroll, Lee, Ogle, Stephenson, and Whiteside counties. Students must plan to enroll in fall 2026 at an accredited two or four year Illinois college or university. Eligible majors include social work, psychology, sociology, and related human services fields. Applicants must submit an application, a high school transcript with a minimum 2 point 5 GPA, an essay, and one letter of recommendation. Applications are due March 13, 2026. A panel of Sinnissippi Centers staff will review submissions based on academics, the essay, and the recommendation. Applications are available at sinnissippi dot org slash scholarships.
