DEKALB — DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded Thursday morning to a crash at Peace and Barber Greene roads involving an SUV driven by a 35-year-old Aurora man and a van driven by 40-year-old Genoa man. Authorities say the Aurora man failed to yield while turning left and struck the van. All occupants were transported to Northwestern Kishwaukee Hospital. The Aurora driver was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, transporting open alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving without a valid license, failure to yield, and not wearing a seatbelt.
