Engineering Society Of Illinois Accepting Rock River Area Scholarship Applications

DIXON — Region 3 of the Engineering Society of Illinois is accepting applications for its 2026 Rock River Area Scholarship for high school seniors in Bureau, Lee, Ogle, Whiteside, and Carroll counties who plan to enroll in an engineering program in the fall of 2026. The organization may award multiple scholarships if more than one qualified applicant applies, and at least one award will be for one thousand dollars or more after five scholarships were awarded last year. Counselors, teachers, and advisors are encouraged to urge eligible students to apply due to historically low participation. Applications are due Friday, January 30, 2026, and must be mailed to scholarship committee chair Erik Larson at the address listed in the application packet, which may be printed, copied, or shared electronically. Applicants are asked to ensure transcripts clearly show whether advanced placement or honors courses were offered and taken, and the grades received, to assist the review process.
