Pritzker Blasts Trump’s For Freezing to Child Care and Family Assistance Programs

CHICAGO –  Governor Pritzker is blasting President Trump for what he calls the partisan freezing of federal funds for social services and child care.  State officials say the Trump Administration is freezing ten-billion-dollars in federal funds across five of the nation’s largest states, targeting the states led by Governors of the opposite political party.  That includes one-billion-dollars for Illinois.  Pritzker says Trump is stripping away child care from Illinois families, putting their lives at risk.  The governor called it wrong and cruel, adding that his office will take every step possible to defend the kids and families.
