Duckworth Criticizes Trump Plan to Cut VA Health Care Jobs

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth criticized the Trump Administration for a reported plan to eliminate more than 35,000 VA health care positions, adding to nearly 30,000 staff cuts earlier this year. Duckworth said the reductions will leave the VA short-staffed and could delay care for veterans seeking treatment. She described the plan as a threat to the support and benefits owed to those who have served in the military.
