    Pritzker To Sign Bill Funding Chicago Area Transit

    CHICAGO   —  Governor Pritzker is set to sign a bill that will fund Chicago-area mass transit agencies.  The Northern Illinois Transit Authority Act was approved by the Illinois General Assembly to avoid service cuts and layoffs at the CTA, Metra and Pace.  The $1.5 Billion funding plan fills a budget gap of more than 200 million dollars.  The signing will take place today at Union Station in Chicago.
