ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Township High School Board on Tuesday night approved an updated district risk management plan, accepted the resignation of Key Club adviser Joseph Howard, hired David Cartwright as head golf coach for the 2026 to 2027 school year and approved Aliyah Losoya as a school bus aide. The board also approved the 2026 to 2027 school calendar with no major changes, including a start date in mid August, two weeks of winter break and spring break during the last full week of March. The board received updates on Trades Day, the final exam schedule and upcoming dates, including a teacher institute day and final exam makeup day on January 5, 2026, the first day of school on January 6 and the last day for student schedule changes on January 9. Officials also reported on music program achievements, including Illinois Music Education Association All State selections, and approved board policy updates.
