Scam Alert Issued for Polo Residents

POLO – The City of Polo is warning residents about a scam in which someone is pretending to be the Polo City Clerk or Polo City Hall and calling residents to sell products. The caller is using a phone number that begins with 815 946 and closely resembles the city’s official number. City officials say Polo will never call residents to sell anything and advise anyone who receives such a call to hang up immediately. Residents who are unsure whether a call is legitimate are encouraged to contact City Hall directly at (815)946-3514.
