ROCHELLE — 102.3 The Coyote, SuperHits 93.5! and Prescott Brothers Ford will host its annual Two Ton Food Drive on Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to benefit the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry. The dealership is collecting canned goods, nonperishable food, and monetary donations, which can stretch further through the food bank’s purchasing power. Chad Young with Prescott Brothers Ford in Rochelle said the community is already in the giving spirit.
“We’ve had a few donations coming in already getting dropped off here and there. So we’ve got stuff set up. We’re ready to go and we’re excited.”
Last year’s effort raised more than $16,000, and organizers hope to exceed $18,000 this year to help restock shelves for the holiday season and support families in Ogle County.
