Pritzker Announces $31.5 Million For Regional Site Readiness Program

SPRINGFIELD — Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity announced $31.5 million in funding through the Regional Site Readiness Program to help communities prepare sites for business and industrial development. The program supports planning and infrastructure projects that convert underused properties into development-ready locations, with grants of up to $150,000 for planning and $5 million for capital improvements. The effort is part of a $500 million statewide investment to make more sites ready for business and attract private investment. Applications will be accepted until March 31, 2026, or until funds are depleted.
