ROCHELLE – The Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District Board reviewed plans to install new park signage and continue improvements at Spring Lake. The proposed signs would be on concrete pillars with engraved plaques and anti-graffiti coating, costing about $2,000 each and installed by district staff. A total of ten would be purchased in the upcoming year. The board opted to review the proposal and consider it at a future meeting. At Spring Lake, winterization is complete, including draining and cleaning pools, removal of a hazardous tree, and winterizing pumps. Electrical upgrades are expected to be completed by the City of Rochelle to move a transformer and restoration of the waterfall and fences are also planned.
