Pritzker Joins Multi-State Health Alliance to Counter Federal Policy Changes

CHICAGO — Gov. JB Pritzker has joined 14 other governors in forming the Governors Public Health Alliance, a coalition created to address what members describe as federal actions that weaken public health agencies and restrict healthcare access. The alliance represents more than 129 million Americans and will coordinate efforts across states to share strategies, develop vaccine policy, and communicate with global health organizations. Illinois recently issued an executive order to safeguard vaccine access after federal staffing and policy changes at health agencies, which state officials say have created confusion and reduced trust in national health guidance.
