Fraser Minten scored the winning goal for the Bruins on a 2-on-1 break.
The Blackhawks are now (0-2) for the season. They had goals from Connor Bedard, Louis Crevier, and Andre Burakovsky.
Arvid Soderblom had 29 saves for Chicago.
The Blackhawks have their home opener on Saturday against Montreal.
