Rochelle Receives National Budget Award

ROCHELLE  — The City of Rochelle has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for its budget. The award recognizes governments that meet nationally recognized standards for effective budget presentation, including serving as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide and communication tool. Budget documents must meet required criteria in all four categories to receive the award. GFOA said the recognition reflects the commitment of city leaders and staff to strong financial planning and transparency.
