The Chicago Blackhawks are locking up newly-acquired defenseman Bowen Byram with a monster contract. The 25-year-old has agreed to a six-year, 75-million-dollar deal that makes him the NHL’s highest-paid blueliner.
Byram was picked up by the Hawks before the NHL Draft in a blockbuster swap with the Buffalo Sabres. Byram recorded 11 goals and a career-high 42 points last season.
