Two-Vehicle Crash Injures Two in DeKalb County

DEKALB — A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Peace Road and Barber Greene Road sent two people to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital on Thursday. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says a northbound van allegedly failed to yield while turning left and struck a southbound passenger vehicle around 8:35 p.m. The driver and front passenger of the southbound vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, while the rear passenger reported no injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The driver of the van, a 16-year-old from Rochelle, was cited for failure to yield turning left.
