The Toronto Blue Jays are 1 win away from winning the 2025 World Series following a 6-1 win Wednesday night over the L.A. Dodgers in Game 5.

The Blue Jays lead the series 3-2.

Toronto started Game 5 quickly with home runs in the first inning by Davis Schneider and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

That backed the pitching of Trey Yesavage who threw 7 innings and gave up 1 run and had 12 strikeouts.

Blake Snell took the loss for the Ddogers. Their only run came on a solo home run by Enrique Hernandez in the third inning.

The Blue Jays won back-to-back World Series in 1992 and 1993.
