Torch Run Lights Up Rochelle: Local Police Rally for Special Olympics Illinois

ROCHELLE – The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics traveled through Rochelle on Wednesday, escorted by members of the Rochelle Police Department. The proceeds from the event help support Special Olympics Illinois and the athletes.

Rochelle Police Chief Pete Pavia said law enforcement loves supporting Special Olympics.

“One of the best events we have each year. National Night Out to the Torch Run to the Polar Plunge. We also have our golf outing September 18th,” he said. “We just love the organization.”
