The Rockford Region has been chosen to host the 2026 Women’s Baseball World Cup. The games will be played at Rivets Stadium in Loves Park.
The event will take place between July 22nd and 27th. It will feature many of the best women baseball players in the world.
The top teams from the Rockford Region advance to the World Cup Finals in 2027 which could also be held in the Rockford area.
The games will feature 150 players from around the world along with over 50 managers and coaches.
The dorms at Rockford University will be used for the teams to stay in. The university will also provide dining services.
The Women’s Baseball World Cup has been held in the United States only 1 time. It took place in South Florida in 2018.
