South Beloit’s Deaths Investigated As Murder-Suicide

SOUTH BELOIT —  The deaths of two people in South Beloit are being investigated as a murder-suicide.  Police say officers responded to a home Tuesday morning in the one-thousand block of Gardner Street to perform a welfare check.  Officers located a man and woman shot to death inside the home.  The Winnebago County Coroner’s Office determined the incident was consistent with a domestic-related murder-suicide.  Investigators believe the man shot and killed the woman before turning the gun himself.
