Rochelle Township High School Unveils Renovated Library Media Center

ROCHELLE — Rochelle Township High School has completed a nearly $750,000 renovation of its Library Media Center, with an open house and ribbon cutting on Monday to showcase the upgrades. The project, led by Stenstrom Construction Group of Rockford, included new flooring, lighting, electrical updates with USB outlets, acoustic sound panels, and the conversion of a computer lab into a flexible work space.

“The kids love hanging out in here,” librarian Amber Cravens said. “They’re using every part of the space, from the study rooms and flexible seating to the maker space and new technology, and they’re excited about the podcasting studio that will be ready soon.”
