ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0 this week to recommend approval of a special use permit for an adult use cannabis infuser at 600 North 15th Street, an I2 General Industrial property. The business will manufacture cannabis-infused products such as edibles and beverages using processed cannabis extract. It will not grow cannabis or sell products to the public. The site meets all required setbacks, including being more than 200 feet from schools and residential areas. Final approval is contingent on submission of a security plan approved by the Rochelle Police Department.
The Rochelle City Council is expected to vote on the matter Monday.
