Phillies Score 2 Runs in the Bottom of the 11th Inning and Beat the Cubs 4-3

The Philadelphia Phillies scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 11th inning Monday night and beat the Chicago Cubs by the final score of 4-3.

A single by Brandon Marsh in the 11th inning won it for the Phillies.

J.T. Realmuto had tied the game at 3 with an RBI single.

The Cubs had taken a 3-2 in the top of the 11th inning on an RBI double by Pete Crow-Armstrong.

Ian Happ had tied the game up at 2 for the Cubs with a solo home run in the 8th inning.

The Phillies had lost 9 out of their last 10 games prior to Monday’s win.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell was ejected for the second straight game in the 9th inning.

Game 2 in the series is Tuesday night in Philadelphia.
