April 7, 2026
- Traffic Arrest: At 0941 hours, deputies stopped a Ford F-350 pulling a two-axle trailer near the intersection of IL Rt. 64 and IL Rt. 251.
- Traffic Arrest: At 1428 hours, deputies conducted a traffic stop near N. Maple Avenue and W. 2nd Street in Byron. Samantha R. Norup, 31, of Byron, fled on foot but was apprehended and charged with Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer, Driving While License Suspended, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
April 8, 2026
- Single Vehicle Accident: At 0805 hours, deputies responded to Kishwaukee and Meridian Road. John Cook, 76, of Stillman Valley, struck a culvert after leaving the roadway. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
- Injury Crash: At 1724 hours, deputies responded to N. Walnut Avenue and E. Main Street in Forreston. Nour Alattar, 39, of Byron, disregarded a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by Crystal Southerland, 49. Alattar was cited for Disregarding a Stop Sign, Failure to Reduce Speed, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
April 9, 2026
- Traffic Arrest: At 0210 hours, deputies arrested Madeline R. McCoy, 30, of Rockford, near W. Division Street and S. Second Street in Holcomb for Driving While License Suspended and Expired Registration.
- Domestic Battery: At 1243 hours, deputies arrested Roberta Fassler, 60, of Mt. Morris, at a residence in the 7332 block of W. Lowell Park Road for Domestic Battery.
- Traffic Arrest: At 2053 hours, deputies arrested Ivan Rivera, 28, of Freeport, in the 10000 block of N. IL Rt. 26 for Driving While License Suspended, Expired Registration, and Suspended Registration.
April 10, 2026
- Traffic Crash: At 0025 hours, deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover in the area of W. IL Rt. 72 and N. Columbine Road. Cody Snyder, 26, of Forreston, was later cited for several offenses including Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis as a Driver.
- DUI Drugs: At 0830 hours, deputies arrested Heather M. Gipson, 47, of Stillman Valley, at E. Wilson Street and S. Walnut Street for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and Improper Lane Usage.
- Traffic Arrest: At 1751 hours, deputies arrested DaMarion M. Williams, 18, of Dekalb, in the 1200 block of E. IL Rt. 38 for Driving with No Valid License and Speeding.
- DUI Arrest: At 2312 hours, deputies arrested Adam P. Petrie, 42, of Rockford, at N. Mulford Road and E. McNeal Road for DUI Alcohol, Improper Lane Usage, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and Possession of Cannabis.
April 11, 2026
- Warrant Arrest: At 1200 hours, deputies responded to a car in a ditch in the 15000 block of E. Twombly Road and arrested Jesus Estrada Garcia, 46, of Rochelle, on an outstanding traffic warrant.
April 12, 2026
- Warrant Arrest: At 1407 hours, deputies arrested Jessica B. Weishaar, 30, in Oregon on two active warrants for DUI and DWLS.
- Warrant Arrest: At 2356 hours, deputies arrested Irene Mireles, 63, of Forreston, during a traffic stop for an active warrant regarding Suspended Registration.
April 13, 2026
- Domestic/Aggravated Battery: At 0055 hours, deputies arrested Jose M. Aguilera, 35, of Rochelle, near E. Fisher Road for Domestic Battery, Aggravated Battery (Pregnant Victim), Unlawful Restraint, and Interference with Reporting.
- Warrant Arrest: At 0232 hours, deputies arrested Kristy L. Smith, 47, of Leaf River, in the 9000 block of N. Leaf River Road on an active warrant for FTA/DUI.
- DUI/Controlled Substance: At 0417 hours, deputies arrested Sarah J. Schwartz, 39, of Oregon, near W. Mud Creek Road for DUI Drugs, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- Traffic Arrest: At 1815 hours, deputies arrested Brianna G. Roberts, 23, of Lena, in the 11000 block of N. IL Rt. 26 for Driving While License Suspended.
April 14, 2026
- Traffic Arrest: At 1419 hours, deputies arrested Deanna Lowery, 40, of Rockford, at IL Rt. 72 and I-39 for Driving Without a License and No Insurance.
- Traffic Arrest: At 1455 hours, deputies arrested Jason Brown, 51, of Polo, in the 6000 block of N. Freeport Road for Driving While License Revoked.
April 15, 2026
- Warrant Arrest: At 1528 hours, deputies arrested Aaron T. Carlston, 35, of Loves Park, at S. Mulford Road and E. IL Rt. 64 on an Ogle County warrant.
- Traffic Arrest: At 1536 hours, deputies arrested Emily A. Bell, 35, of Davis Junction, for Driving While License Suspended.
- Aggravated Domestic Battery: At 1723 hours, deputies arrested Andrew D. Rutherford, 31, of Mt. Morris, for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Domestic Battery, and Endangering the Life or Health of a Child.
- Traffic Arrest: At 2032 hours, deputies arrested Oscar R. Guerrero, 27, of Davis Junction, for Driving While License Revoked.
April 16, 2026
- Traffic Arrest: At 1532 hours, deputies arrested Tony C. Hardy, 55, of Rockford, on I-39 for Driving While License Revoked.
- Traffic Arrest: At 1951 hours, deputies arrested Nicholas Gomez, 35, of Mt. Morris, for Driving While License Suspended.
- Unlawful Use of Weapon: At 2009 hours, deputies arrested Jerry L. Kubatzke III, 21, of Freeport, near N. Freeport Road for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition with No FOID.
- Felony DUI/Fleeing: At 2143 hours, deputies arrested Montavion D. Ross, 43, of Rochelle, after a pursuit. Charges include Aggravated DUI, Fleeing/Attempting to Elude, and Resisting a Peace Officer.
April 17, 2026
- DUI/Domestic Battery: At 0219 hours, deputies arrested Christopher Escutia-Rangel, 40, of Rochelle, for Aggravated DUI, Domestic Battery, and Endangering the Life of a Child.
- Injury Crash (Pedestrian): At 1104 hours, deputies responded to Mt. Morris Estates where Marc Irvin, 38, struck two pedestrians. Irvin may have suffered a medical issue; the incident remains under investigation.
- Traffic Crash: At 1645 hours, deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at N. Kilbuck and E. Big Mound Roads. Hailey E. McGlaughlin, 23, was cited for disregarding a stop sign.
April 18, 2026
- Traffic Arrest: At 1133 hours, deputies arrested Kimberly Kearby, 45, at Montague and Springfield Roads for Driving While License Suspended.
- Warrant Arrest: At 1650 hours, deputies arrested Julius Edgeston, 43, of Mt. Morris, for an active Winnebago County warrant.
- Warrant Arrest: At 1726 hours, deputies arrested Demarkis Dubois, 23, of Sterling, on an Ogle County warrant during a stop in the 6000 block of N. IL Rt. 2.
April 19, 2026
- Warrant Arrest: At 1741 hours, deputies arrested Gregory Witmer, 70, of Mt. Morris, for an active traffic warrant.
- Traffic Arrest: At 2316 hours, deputies arrested Javionne A. Jackson, 23, of Rockford, for Driving While License Suspended and Speeding.
April 20, 2026
- Traffic Arrest: At 0931 hours, deputies arrested Cristian A. Garcia Garrido, 23, of Rockford, for Driving While License Suspended.
- Traffic Arrest: At 1113 hours, deputies arrested John Breen, 76, of Rockford, for Driving While License Suspended.
April 21, 2026
- Warrant Arrest: At 1814 hours, deputies arrested Windy J. Milligan, 43, of Hanover, on a Dekalb County warrant for Theft.
April 22, 2026
- DUI Alcohol: At 2203 hours, deputies arrested Raymond Therolus, 50, of Franklin Grove, in the 6000 block of N. River Rd. for DUI Alcohol.
April 23, 2026
- Battery Arrest: At 1700 hours, deputies arrested Ryan B. Adams, 46, of Rockford, for Battery and Driving While License Revoked following an incident in Davis Junction.
- DUI Crash (UTV): At 2228 hours, deputies arrested Carl Ford Jr., 31, of Macomb, for DUI and DWLS after a UTV rollover in the 3000 block of W. Lightsville Rd.
- DUI Crash: At 2259 hours, deputies arrested Thomas D. Leigh, 37, of Dixon, for Aggravated DUI and Leaving the Scene after crashing into a ditch in the 10000 block of N. IL Rt. 2.
April 24, 2026
- Fatal Crash Following Pursuit: Deputies attempted a stop on a vehicle suspected in multiple burglaries. The driver, Cheyenne Gartman, 25, of Dixon, fled and later crashed. Gartman was pronounced deceased; occupants Kayla Morgan-Poff and Stanley Griffin were hospitalized.
- Battery Arrest: At 0919 hours, deputies arrested Jeremy Posey, 43, of Oregon, for a battery that occurred on April 24.
April 25, 2026
- Traffic Arrest: At 0120 hours, deputies arrested Lorena Filobella Garcia, 29, of Dekalb, for No Valid License.
- Traffic Arrest: At 1942 hours, deputies arrested David M. Matuszewski, 40, of Rockford, for Aggravated Driving While License Revoked.
- Traffic/Warrant Arrest: At 2159 hours, deputies arrested Jaylon A. Reints, 21, of Rock Falls, for Driving While License Suspended and two active warrants.
- Domestic Battery: At 2230 hours, deputies arrested Lucinda M. Trotter, 36, of Rochelle, for Domestic Battery.
April 27, 2026
- Warrant Arrest: At 0155 hours, deputies arrested Adam J. Andrade, 23, of Harvard, on a Rockford Police warrant for Criminal Damage to Property.
- Battery Arrest (Follow-up): Deputies investigated a battery from 4/24/2026 and arrested Jeremy Posey, 43, of Oregon.
April 29, 2026
- Child Pornography Arrest: At 1300 hours, detectives arrested Caleb Esterday, 19, of Rochelle, following a search warrant. He faces multiple counts of Dissemination and Possession of Child Pornography.
- Domestic/Weapons Arrest: At 0839 hours, deputies arrested Jason L. Edgar, 50, of Byron, for Domestic Battery and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
- Structure Fire/Warrant Arrest: At 1723 hours, while responding to a structure fire in Chana, deputies arrested Latasha D. Burgess, 40, on an active warrant for Retail Theft.
April 30, 2026
- DUI Crash: At 1957 hours, deputies arrested Timothy L. Rice, 60, of Durand, for DUI following a head-on crash on N. IL Rt. 2.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
