Outgoing Ogle County Queen Blakelynn Swanson can’t wait for the weekend
“I’m definitely excited to get my sheep at the fair and kind of show off what I’ve been working on all summer. But for our queens, I’m very excited to just see how they do at the fair and just see how excited they get for their upcoming year.”
Grandstand event tickets are $15, and pit passes for select shows are $20. Activities include 4-H and junior exhibits, the Rhinestone Roper, Ready Go Dog Show, and nightly music at the Ogle County Stage, along with vendor booths and daily carnival attractions.
Brenda Holm, Ogle County Fair Board Secretary, said the kids really put their best foot forward for the show.
“They work on their animal, showing animals. They have projects in the exhibit building, everything from art to animal posters to woodworking. They just, lots of different kinds of projects, too many to name.”
