SYCAMORE — The St Therese Little Flower Fund has been established at the DeKalb County Community Foundation to support students and faculty at St Mary School in DeKalb who demonstrate kindness, compassion and service to others. The fund is inspired by St Therese of Lisieux and her belief in doing small things with great love, recognizing everyday acts of care that reflect faith and purpose. It was created in memory of Joseph and Dorothy Fuss and will provide annual awards to one student and one faculty member at St Mary School. The student award will help with tuition for the following school year, while the faculty award will honor a staff member who models service within the school community. Community Foundation Executive Director Dan Templin said the effort highlights the value of positive behavior. “Recognizing acts of kindness among children and adults helps reinforce such behavior and builds an even greater sense of community,”
