BYRON – The Byron Area Chamber of Commerce announced that 2nd Street will be closed Friday, December 5, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for the annual Miracle on 2nd Street celebration. The evening will feature holiday lights, music, wagon rides, and a visit from Santa, with the addition of Veteran Luminaries from Trek for Troops, lit with glow sticks and lining the street from Washington Street to the Byron Museum entrance.
Michelle Lorenz, executive director of the Byron Chamber said it’s safe to bring your appetite.
“The whole street will have shut down from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and all of our local businesses will have activities and games.” she said.
“There will also be a couple businesses that will be serving hot dogs on the street as well. There will be all kinds of caroling up and down the street and in Byron Bank.”
