MENDOTA — A man was shot in the leg early Friday morning during a disturbance at a home in the 100 block of South 13th Avenue, according to the Mendota Police Department. Officers were called to the residence at about 12:12 a.m. and found the man injured. Police gave aid at the scene until paramedics arrived, and he was taken to a local hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Investigators said the incident involved a dispute between people who know each other, and a firearm was discharged during the confrontation. One person involved was taken into custody without incident. The investigation is ongoing.
