ROCKFORD – A 30-year-old man is pleading guilty to the killing of Chase Higgins in Rockford in 2024. Jason Bryant entered a guilty plea to first degree murder and was sentenced to ten years in prison. Higgins, 27, was gunned down in August 2024 in a parking lot in the 66-hundred block of East State Street. Three others were charged in his death.
