Kerry Carpenter Hits 3 Home Runs in Detroit’s 13-1 Win Over the White Sox

Kerry Carpenter had a career-high 3 home runs and 5 RBI as the Detroit Tigers pounded the Chicago White Sox on Monday night 13-1 at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Dillon Dingler and Wenceel Perez also had home runs as Detroit became the first major league team with 40 wins this season.

The Tiger had 16 hits in the game.

Jack Flaherty picked up the win as he allowed 1 run over 6 innings of work.

It was the 11th consecutive win for Detroit over the White Sox dating back to September 1st of 2023.

The Tigers are now (22-9) in the past 31 games.

Chicago has now lost 7 out of their last 8 games. Jonathan Cannon was the losing pitcher.

Game 2 in the 4-game series is Tuesday night in Chicago.
