Illinois Recognizes Long-Term Care Residents During Residents’ Rights Month

SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is marking Residents’ Rights Month in October by highlighting the rights and dignity of nursing home and long-term care residents. The program advocates for residents, helps resolve complaints, and provides information and support to families at no cost, serving about 142,000 people in nearly 1,600 facilities.
