Illinois Law Enforcement Increases Patrols for Safe St. Patrick’s Day Drinking

SPRINGFIELD – Celebrating with alcohol is part of the enjoyment for those that participate in St. Patrick’s Day festivities. However, it is essential to drink responsibly and be mindful of one’s limits. There will be increased patrols statewide on every level of law enforcement, funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation. Those wanting to enjoy the evening may wish to use some sound advice, like having a designated driver or use a ride-share service, instead of pressing their luck.
