Franklin Grove Summer Harvest Festival Brings History, Entertainment, and Family Fun

FRANKLIN GROVE  — The Franklin Grove Summer Harvest Festival returns August 2–3 with a weekend of family-friendly events spread across multiple locations, including Chaplin Creek Village, Atlasta Park, Winifred Knox Memorial Library, and Whitney Road venues. The festival features Revolutionary War reenactments, blacksmith demonstrations, pie sales, a fashion show, walking tours, a grand battle finale, and appearances by historical interpreters like Ben Franklin. Additional activities include a Big Rig Show benefiting Shriners Hospitals, a tractor pull, petting zoo, citywide rummage sales, craft vendors, food, live music, and a parade. Admission is free Saturday, with a $5 fee on Sunday for Chaplin Creek events; children 12 and under are free.
