WASHINGTON – Washington Illinois Mayor Lilija Stevens has selected former Rochelle City Manager Jeff Fiegenschuh as the city’s next administrator. The Washington City Council votes tonight on his employment agreement. The contract offers an annual salary of $180,000. If approved, Fiegenschuh will start on January 19, 2026. The term extends through May 2029. Fiegenschuh resigned from his eight year tenure in Rochelle earlier this month. His contract requires him to live in Washington within ninety days. Washington will also provide up to $10,000 for his relocation expenses. The city has been without a full time administrator since August 2024.
