Dixon Sewer Maintenance Scheduled Through Friday

DIXON — The Dixon Wastewater Department will conduct routine sewer maintenance this week in several parts of the city. Crews will clean sewer lines along North Galena Avenue from McKenney Street to Bradshaw Street, Eustance Drive to Garden Walk and Idle Oak Run from Second Street to Fox Trot. Homes and businesses connected to the sewer mains will receive notification door cards. City officials said residents may notice temporary plumbing issues during the work, including gurgling noises, bubbling water in toilets, brief splashing from drains and temporary sewer odors. Residents are encouraged to close toilet lids and cover floor drains during the maintenance period.
