DIXON – A 65-year-old Dixon man was arrested following a reported stabbing at a residence on Crawford Avenue. Dixon Police say they responded around 9 p.m. Sunday to the 400 block of Crawford Avenue and found the homeowner and Joseph A. Willwerth inside the home. Both were treated for injuries, and Willwerth was taken to OSF and later released. Police said Willwerth was arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted murder and home invasion, along with several other felony and misdemeanor offenses. Authorities said the incident was isolated and there was no threat to the public.
