DeKalb Township Seeks Applicants for Trustee Vacancy

DEKALB — The DeKalb Township Board of Trustees is accepting applications to fill a vacant trustee position following the appointment of Katherine McLaughlin as township clerk. McLaughlin was selected at the May 19 board meeting after the resignation of former Clerk Joan Watson-Protano. The board plans to appoint a new trustee at its June 16 meeting. The person selected will serve the remainder of the term, which expires in May 2029. Applicants must be legal voters and have lived in DeKalb Township for at least one year. Letters of interest must be submitted by June 12 to Township Supervisor Mary Hess. Additional information and a description of trustee duties are available from the township office.
