SYCAMORE – DeKalb County Sheriff Andrew Sullivan and members of the sheriff’s office will participate in the 2025 Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors bicycle ride, which will pass through the area Saturday and Sunday to honor fallen officers including Deputy Christina Musil. The nearly 390-mile, four-day ride starts in Champaign and ends in Chicago, with stops at Leland’s Lions Depot Park on July 12 and Northern Illinois University in DeKalb around 6 p.m. The following morning, a memorial service will be held at 7:35 a.m. at the Dekalb Memorial Wall on Sycamore Road to remember Deputy Musil. The event honors officers who died in 2024 and supports police survivors across Illinois.
