DeKalb County Approves New Plow Truck Purchase

SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County Board approved the purchase of a fully equipped Kenwood P-480 dump truck with plow, spreader, wing, drain, hydraulic system, and pre-wet tank system for $181,219 to support road maintenance and winter weather operations last week. The truck will be purchased from Monroe Truck Equipment, Inc., based in Monroe, Wisconsin. The board also passed adjustments to emergency services compensation under a memorandum of understanding with AFSCME Council 31, Local 3537, which passed 13-7 and drew debate over mid-year budget changes.
