DEKALB – The DeKalb City Council Monday night approved changes to the city’s Unified Development Ordinance to update sign regulations for non-residential uses in multi-family residential districts and allow electronic changeable copy signs for wall and projecting signs in the Central Business District. The amendments set size limits and location rules for digital signs, including one wall or projecting sign up to 30 square feet per building, or a combined total of 60 square feet on different building faces. The changes accommodated a request by the Stage Coach Theatre for their new 52-square-foot signage.
