CRESTON — Creston Village officials plan to purchase and demolish a property at 128 East North Street by the end of the month and are working to address another property at 209 West Depot Street. Officials said they are still trying to identify the owner of the Depot Street property and will have the village building inspector send notices to condemn the residence again in an effort to move toward demolition.
The village said it hopes to secure a better price from a contractor if both properties can be cleared at the same time. The North Street property is slated to be demolished to make way for a new or expanded street department building.
