Bridge Repair Project Underway On Illinois 251 Near Mendota

MENDOTA — A bridge repair project is underway on Illinois 251 over Big Bureau Creek, about five miles north of Mendota. The Illinois Department of Transportation said the work includes bridge repairs and a new concrete overlay on the bridge deck. Traffic has been reduced to one lane and is being controlled by temporary traffic signals. The project is expected to be completed by the end of July. Motorists should expect delays, allow extra travel time and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
