CHICAGO — Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul announced a $1 million settlement with Alternative Staffing, Inc. to resolve allegations the temporary staffing agency entered into a no-poach agreement with other staffing agencies that limited workers’ wages and job opportunities. The settlement last week, pending court approval, requires ASI to compensate affected temporary workers, ensure they can freely work for employers of their choice, and implement compliance measures to prevent future antitrust violations. The lawsuit against ASI’s client, Vee Pak LLC, remains pending, and the settlement follows several similar agreements reached by Raoul’s office in recent years with other staffing agencies.
