DIXON — The Dixon Historic Theatre will host a fundraising gala June 20 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 114 S. Galena Ave. in Dixon to support its Encore Capital Campaign for major building repairs and upgrades. The event will include theatre tours, live music, a silent auction, door prizes and other activities, with proceeds going toward replacing main floor seats, repairing balcony seating, restoring more than 100 year old terrazzo floors and fixing and modernizing the west side marquee. Theatre officials said many of the seats are in disrepair from years of use and need replacement or restoration, while the marquee has developed leaks and lighting failures. Organizers said only 150 tickets will be sold for $25 each, with concessions, a cash bar and food provided by a local restaurant available during the event. Tickets and donations can be made through the theatre’s website or box office.
