POLO — A 55-year-old Forreston man was arrested on a DUI charge after a UTV caught fire Tuesday night near Polo. Ogle County deputies responded around 8:45 p.m. to the intersection of Illinois Route 26 and Goose Hollow Road for a report of a John Deere Gator on fire. Deputies said the UTV was reportedly traveling east on Goose Hollow Road when it caught fire. Following an investigation, Jeffrey S. Singley was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail and later released with a notice to appear in court at a later date. Deputies were assisted by the Polo Fire Department.
