OSWEGO – A 44 year old Aurora man has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing January 27 in the 400 block of Valentine Way. Oswego police say Ryan D. Dodd allegedly followed his ex wife into her garage and attacked her with a knife after officers were dispatched around 1:10 p.m. Dodd was later taken into custody following a traffic stop, and prosecutors have approved charges of first degree murder, home invasion, armed violence, residential burglary, and aggravated stalking. The Kendall County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 41 year old Ashley A. Stewart of Oswego and reported she sustained multiple sharp force injuries. Dodd remains in custody at the Kendall County Jail and is scheduled for a hearing January 30.
